Anstey Hall

Recently, I had the opportunity to get away from busy London for a long weekend and visit Cambridge. Cambridge is beautiful and worth a trip to explore. I was lucky enough to stay at Anstey Hall as I had found a great deal online. Because we had booked 10 nights away with, it meant that one night was free! This is such a great deal and you can find it here. I also recommend having a Google for voucher codes to ensure the best deal out there! So with one night free, my boyfriend and I decided to stay in the superior double room for 2 nights. From the photos online you can never quite tell what a hotel is like in person but when we got there we were amazed… Continue reading Anstey Hall

Christmas Eve Pamper Evening

I can’t believe it’s Christmas Eve already! I love spending time with my family over Christmas and for me the perfect Christmas Eve also involves pampering and winding down before the busy day of tomorrow. Most of my relaxing involves indulging in some beauty products. But to start with, me and my family sit down to a nice meal, usually Salmon, which is so lovely. And then we will probably watch a film. After that my perfect pampering evening commences… Continue reading Christmas Eve Pamper Evening

Winter Makeup Look

It’s well and truly winter now and I just love being indoors and putting on a festive film whilst sipping hot chocolate! Christmas is one of my favourite times of year as I love to enjoy seeing friends and family and although I like the warm summer climate, secretly I prefer wearing fluffy socks and snuggly jumpers!

I wanted to create a makeup look that had more gold and green tones in it to bring out those Christmas colours. This look would work well for drinks or just a more dressy day time vibe! I hope you like it! I normally go with browns and orange tones but felt like being a bit more adventurous for this post. Continue reading Winter Makeup Look

Winter Munching… SourcedBox Review

Get a cup of tea and a snack because this post is going to be a long one! I do hope you enjoy it as I always get excited opening my monthly SourcedBox and the winter boxes have been outstanding so far. I’ve given a full review down below of the November box and a sneak peek into the December one for fun!

SourcedBox is a monthy healthy snacks subscription box and it contains all sorts of genius snacks that you can munch on whilst eating smart. I have discovered SO many new brands thanks to the box and it never fails to brighten up my month! It was set up by Marcus Butler and Niomi Smart who are YouTubers. You get about 10 items in each box and the surprise of waiting for what new products you are going to be introduced to is so exciting! Continue reading Winter Munching… SourcedBox Review

Festive Wrapping

I have had to learn to elevate my wrapping through ornaments, bows and ribbons to make them a little more special. My actual wrapping skills are a little messy haha but I feel this can be disguised very well through decoration! Taking that extra care to put that ribbon on or tie that bow can make it look like you have put a lot more thought and care into your wrapping. It also helps make a more affordable present look more expensive – tricks for those on a budget!

I have put together a few wrapping ideas for you to take some inspiration from or just adapt yourselves. I feel like anyone could do these ideas and it doesn’t take too much time or money! Continue reading Festive Wrapping

Winter Outfit…

This outfit post is a bit more special as it’s Christmas and so there’s no excuses to dress up and look all glam! Whether it’s a work party or evening drinks with your friends, this outfit looks so sophisticated and the details in the dress speak for themselves. I don’t think you can go wrong with a classic black dress and I have accessorized with golds and pinks to keep it fairly simple and let the clothes do the talking! Continue reading Winter Outfit…

Festive Hair Styles

I can’t believe blogmas is nearly over but that means Christmas is almost here which is so exciting! I haven’t done a hair styles blog before but as I have long hair I thought why not use it! And blogmas is the perfect time to create some content I’ve been wanting to do for a while. I’m not the best at hair but when I make more of an effort I always feel more confident. These three styles should give you a few ideas or inspiration to adapt during the festive season when you want to make a little more effort for those Christmas gatherings! Hope you enjoy this recipe! Let me know if you make it or what other ingredients you like to add to your wine! Continue reading Mulled Wine

Homemade Gift Tags

The last few years have turned into a bit of a tradition in terms of making my own Christmas gift tags! Me and my mum have been getting into the habit of saving last year’s Christmas cards and recycling them into something special! So, I carried on the tradition this year and made some from my 2015 cards!

It is so easy to do and you can create all kinds of different shapes and designs. If I have a really great card to work from I try to follow the design shape and cut around that. For example, my super cute snowman gift tag was created by using the snowman’s silhouette as a guide. I also use biscuit cutters to draw and cut out shapes of other cards which had a fairly neutral design. I love the gingerbread men and the stars especially this year!
